Joe,
From the tube data sheet we can see that the specified load resistance
for the 71A is in the neighborhood of 4000 ohms.

mark it! It's easier than getting up to get a book off the shelf.)
For your purposes, a speaker and output transformer from an All-American
Five will work just fine. The transformer primary will be more like
10,000 ohms, but impedance matching is like horse shoes and hand grenades.
