Help me!   I purchased a TV shops inventory of tubes, plus a sencore tube tester about 20 yrs ago in SF.  I picked thru them for those I could use in my guitar amps (preamp tubes such as the 12AT7, U7 etc...) The tube tester sold me.  Iforget what I paid,  but it was cheap.  I've been meaning to inventory them for all these years, but I can always find something less tedious.  For some reason, I HAD to bring the lot with me when I moved to NJ,  after having gleaned the preamp tubes, mind you,  I  am not a pack rat (much) but if some one would give em a home I'd love to see them go!  I do notneed money, I need the space!  If anybody is interested, plse get in touch .  I figure 20 years of tripping over them ismore than enough..       Im in Dover, and if you'll pick em up , you can have them gratis-or whatever ..theres about 100 or so , filling a file box, and I supposeit is typical of a TV shop's stock back when.    Make my day and email me  at:     basic427 at yahoo.com               Thanks!                        Bill        .

2:40 OM?  I can only assume PM since you went away almost empty handed.  What happened to the guy I use to run into at Packrats, long before sunup, who would tell me that I was late and that he was on his second set of flashlight batteries?

Got to the sale about 2:40, they were picked clean.

There was an AK battery set with a price tag of $275, so I didn't look any further.  On the way out I said that I was interested and asked if he'd take $100 without the speaker (it did include a home brew power supply built on a piece of 1x12).  He agreed, but then when I went back and looked at it I saw that it had no tubes - six empty, lonely sockets.  I passed on it.

Bought a 6" Radio Shack replacement speaker for $5 - with whizzer cone!

The garage, see the original email, was totally barren, except for a John Deere riding mower, a piece of exercise equipment, and a shop vac with allot of miles on it.

He said that some "radio guys" from Long Island bought all the ham stuff earlier in the day.
