Got to the sale about 2:40, they were picked clean.

There was an AK battery set with a price tag of $275, so I didn't look
any further. On the way out I said that I was interested and asked if
he'd take $100 without the speaker (it did include a home brew power
supply built on a piece of 1x12). He agreed, but then when I went back
and looked at it I saw that it had no tubes - six empty, lonely
sockets. I passed on it.

Bought a 6" Radio Shack replacement speaker for $5 - _with __whizzer__cone_!

The garage, see the original email, was totally barren, except for a
John Deere riding mower, a piece of exercise equipment, and a shop vac
with allot of miles on it.

He said that some "radio guys" from Long Island bought all the ham stuff
earlier in the day.
