[NJARC] Transformer Rewinding Service

     That's Gary Brown. I've used him and he does excellent work. He rewound a Comet Pro power transformer for me and it works like a charm. The nice thing is that he rewound it for a 120V primary (instead of 110V) so I don't have to use a Variac or a bucking xformer.
     Gary is also a good source for tubes and boatanchor parts. He's a nice guy, too.

  I came across this company via the Heathkit Yahoo Group.  As you might expect, it isn't cheap to get a transformer rewound, but then if you want it done right....Best of all, it's a Maine company.  They are located just north of Bangor and slightly west of Old Town.
