[NJARC] WQEW 1560 AM off air - DX potential !!!

Last yr Disney Radio sold WQEW 1560AM (among other stations as they get
rid of their terrestrial broadcast network) and as of Tuesday evening I
noticed the station was off the air as the new owner, Family Radio, most
likely is setting up shop.

DX potential here as the 50K signal no longer covers up dozens of other
stations. So far I've not been able to catch any of the higher pwr
stations like KGOW in TX, WAGL in SC or KLNG in IA. I did hear one faint
daytime signal but no ID, sunset activity has not been productive so far.

I assume some/many of you are using home brewed loop antennae for AM
broadcast band DXing. But does anyone use a plain ole, everyday,
run-of-the-mill, garden variety antenna like the S-A-T or Terk? Just
curious as to what type of antenna for broadcast band DXing is most
common among the brethren, including amplified antennae like the Twin
Coil Ferrite from C Crane. - Louis
