In light of the Radio Shack closings, maybe it would be a good idea if we compiled a list of New Jersey electronics shops that are still in business. While mail order is great, there are always those occasions where we need one item, and need it now.
The only shop I know of is Wayne Electronics on Route 23. http://www.wayneelectronicsllc.com/
It has the standard supplies like resistors, capacitors, wire etc. You'd recognize the owner because he usually stops by the Parsippany swapmeets. It's a fun place to browse and has a lot of little treasures.
For the record, Lashen Electronics in Denville, which used to be the go-to shop for a lot of us, no longer stocks components.
