You can view some other photos of the 2013 fest here: http://www.virhistory.com/ham/hunt-13.htm You can find almost anything there. The last photo is of a four cylinder four stroke engine still on the shipping pallet, and an R-390 non A that was next to the R-390A in one of the photos went for only $200! One of these days I will also have to go on a tour of the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. Huntsville is also known as Rocket City and for good reason. The Hamfest is, of course, held in the Von Braun Center. I'm looking for contacts that you have personally dealt with that are trustworthy to restore some of my Delorean's non-stainless car parts. My brake calipers are neeing rebuilt soon, which I plan to either do myself, or have my personal mechanics do, but before they are rebuilt I'm considering having them either gold-colored zinc plated (like they were when they were new), or powder-coated. Either process I'm going to need to have them cleaned\prepped (I'm guessing either by sand\bead blasted, chem dipped, or ultrasonically cleaned). I know most of these processes are regulated these days by the EPA, etc., and there are less and less vendors out there that do this in small runs, so I thought I'd ask to see if you or any of you know people that perform these services or have these facilities? I will eventually have other parts i'd like like done, but the calipers are the most immediate and important. Any guidance\advice would be greatly appreciated.
