Years ago there were many problems with reflectors and Virus, and SPAM. Another problem was small mailboxes and slow dial-up Internet access.

So our reflector had attachments turned off to protect our members since the beginning.

Al suggested:
"How about "opening up" the club reflector to support attachments, html text, and pictures? A year or so ago I discovered that greenkeys at mailman.qth.net supported such, and I made the appropriate changes to DVHRC at mailman.qth.net and mrca at mailman.qth.net, two lists that I administer. I'm happy to report that there have been ZERO problems with this."

Members: We're going to give it a try. Attachments are limited to 5mb.

1) Try to reduce the file size even lower for misc photos, etc., before attaching.

   1a) No videos, too big.

2) Remember to place a description in your email text so members know what is attached and why.

3) You do not have to open any attachment sent to you if you don't want it. It will delete itself when you delete the email.

4) Remember too, that having a virus protection program on your computer is a must today. If you don't have one, get one.

I use Avast.

There are others. If you don't know how, get some help from a friend or computer consultant.

** Example attached: I attached my QSL card as an example.
