[NJARC] Voltage-Resistance Chart - AK55C

Gang,

A feature found in the documentation for many later radios, especially
commercial and military gear, is a chart indicating operating voltages
and non-operating resistances found at each tube pin of the set. This is
a handy troubleshooting aid as you can easily (1) signal trace to the
bad tube, (2) make voltage measurements to determine which circuit
(plate, screen, grid, etc.) is unhappy, and then (3) make resistance
measurements to find the bad component.

In a totally inoperative radio, especially one with a short in the power
supply, it's may not be unreasonably to dispense with signal tracing,
and measure all the resistances to localize trouble. This is
particularly true when there aren't a large number of tube involved.

If you're fortunate enough to have tube-socket adapters, you can easily
determine tube pin numbers, and make measurements from the top of the
chassis.

I just spent some time generating a V-R chart from my working Atwater
Kent AK-55C. This was part of the aftermath of last Saturday's Repair
Clinic. Let me know if you'd like a copy.
