I just wanted to alert everyone to an interesting estate sale in Bernardsville. (I have no connection to this sale).

I saw three items of interest:

1. A huge home-brew ham transmitter. It must have been 7 feet tall. The asking price was $275 and it was housed in a very nice rack.

2. What appeared to be a very early TV with a three-inch screen. It was in rough shape and the key on the bottom of the picture tube's socket was broken off. There was no price on this set.

3. A Coast Guard VLF receiver from the WWII era marked $35. Again, the condition was rough.

I suspect that tomorrow, the last day of the sale, much lower offers will be entertained. It was difficult to tell if this sale was being run by the family or by a professional outfit.
