I USE WD-40 ON HAM EQUIPMENT ALSO.

YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR JUDGEMENT AS TO WHEN YOU CAN SAFELY APPLY VOLTAGE.

I called them sometime back asking HOW/IF I could determine if my old can 
was still good.

Answer: spray some on tissue paper...if you see PINK ...it's gud.

One of my mentors...fixes ALL kinds of Ham equipment...uses ONLY Deoxit...me 
too...for what that's worth...

Regarding price....hey...what's the 'price' on our work/effort for getting 
fine performance??...and...permit me saying...Deoxit is SPECIFICALLY made 
for the issue!!
