Channel Master Shield if you have some. WD40 works also. Some cleaners without lubricant can freeze the shaft in place. No need to disasemble.

K repair guys, I have a couple of noisy pots that I probably will open up to 
lean and lubricate.  I have Radio Shack contact cleaner which is basically 
.1.1.2 Tetraflouraethane.  Is this the best stuff to use and if not what should 
ne use?
