If you have access to Rider's Manuals, your set is in Vol. VIII, Sparton pp. 9-10. That will be the clearest schematic.

That's exactly the same one the owner of the radio gave me, and the same one on radiomuseum.org! I can tell because in the center, where it states the IF frequency, 345KC, the tops of the 3, K and C are missing. Yours is a little sharper though. Thanks so much.

Repairing a Sparton 617 and need a halfway decent schematic.
The one on radiomuseum.org is low res (don't know why they insist on
using .png files), and I also posted a request on Antique Radio Forum.
