Hi everybody,

I may have an opportunity to get involved with a start-up non-profit
low power FM station here in Maine. They are working on getting an FCC
license for the station. My question is what type of license is needed for the
individual to broadcast? Is there testing involved, etc...? I already
have an Amateur license, but it is not valid for this type of broadcast.

They are already set-up for on line streaming, but they need to get a
transmitter. If you'd like to check the current on-line feed, go to:
http://www.skidompha.org/skidomphanew/extra13.asp (copy and paste)

They are working on setting up an advisory board to coordinate things.
I hope to hear more about that soon. The format will be varied from book
and newspaper reading, to storytelling, and varied music both live and
recorded.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
