[NJARC] Radio in movie - can you ID it?

I just watched Hell Divers (1932) with Clark Gable,  and Wallace Beery.  
While they were marooned, they were using what looked  like a Hallicrafters 
radio to listen for their ship (Saratoga).  I couldn't  make out what model it 
was.  Knowing the weight of radios of the  period, it amazed me how easily 
Wallace Beery picked the radio up and put it  into the plane.  
 
    Any guesses?
