I haven't seen a response so I will take a stab at it.
Looking through Poster's Radio and Television Price Guide, 2nd Edition, 1994 there is a Zenith Radio ad on page 85. The 6-B-129 which is a 6 volt car battery powered "Farm Set" and it is very similar to the 7-S-232, aka the "Walton's Set." It sold retail for $69.95 in this 1937 advertisement.
As for what it cost on an installment plan, your guess is as good as mine!

To my ill-informed eyes, that looks like a Zenith they're listening to. If
so, quick, now, how much did it cost on an installment plan, and is it
likely that a family with their income would have bought this instead of a
Philco?
