Greetings,
I am involved with a number of different artists and art projects
that reuse old materials to create various items. A little while
back I saw someone who produced something using a rather
interestingly shaped burnt out vacuum tube and I thought of
appealing to this and other similar lists to see if anybody had
anything not useful for repairs & restoration that they might wish
to pass on to put in the hands of someone who can actually use them
for something else.
Of course, I am not asking for anything you can use! Having some
vintage radios & tvs myself I know how valuable those extra knobs,
and parts can be!
Basically I am looking for almost anything either vintage
electrical, mechanical, or plumbing related even. Any meters,
valves, gauges, wood bits & cases too damaged to repair, burn out
tubes, pipes & plumbing parts, mechanical parts, clock parts,
miscellaneous loose hardware (hinges, screws, springs, handles,
etc.), wood or metal toy pieces, bakelite plugs, switches, etc. too
unsafe to use for their original intended purpose, etc.
For pickup or other arrangements, I spend a lot of time in the
Burlington and Camden counties, as well as in and around
Philadelphia. Occasionally a couple times a year I get up to
Middlesex County. If you are too far away, if you have an
interesting batch worth saving I could reimburse for shipping costs.
Thanks!
