[NJARC] where to get correct grill cloth?

Steve:

We collectors are sort of in a holding pattern. Until two years ago, high-quality reproduction grill cloth was available for most pre-1940 radios. We all got spoiled. Unfortunately, the factory making this cloth closed and the inventory was quickly snapped up by collectors. We're all hoping that a new source of supply can be found but until then, we're sort of up the creek.

The Antique Radio Forum lists these sources:

Merry Tunes Antique Radios and Parts (http://www.antiqueradiosandparts.com)
Speaker Fabric Supply (http://www.etsy.com/shop/SpeakerFabricSupply)
Bret's Old Radios (http://www.ebay.com/sch/brets-old-radios/m.html)
Richmond Designs Inc. (http://www.richmonddesignsinc.com)

    Another one is: www.sajj.com.

As for choosing the best cloth, it's just a matter of seeing which available cloth most closely matches the original.

                                                     Joe Connor
