[NJARC] TOO much audio??

After weeks of circuitry work...got my Grunow 1297 'working.'

replacement IF from Mr. Dean kept this project alive...Thanks again, Dave.

I think something is unusual...I only have to turn the volume control VERY 
little...'bout 10 degrees...to get listening volume...after that LOTS of 
distortion and speaker cone wants to leave its surround!

The audio section has 2 each 6L6's fed by 2 each 6C5's.

Removing one 6C5 reduces the audio - naturally - and I can rotate the volume 
control to a 'more expected' rotation...but, still very little rotation for 
what I'd expect...

I have yet to check the voltages...I believe this can cause my 
circumstance??

Suggestions - continue - to be most welcomed.
