                            GOOD NEWS!
 
The City of Yonkers has finally given us a firm date for the unveiling of the Armstrong Memorial Plaque.  The ceremony will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 17, at Hudson-Fulton Park in Yonkers NY.  This small park is located on Warburton Avenue, just across the street from the intersection with Odell Avenue, and a short walk from the Greystone train station.
 
Steve Hemphill will broadcast the event live on WA2XMN, 42.8 mc. at Alpine NJ, where Major Armstrong set up the world's first FM radio station.  We hope to have the event recorded for later rebroadcast for those who can't come to the event and who won't be able to listen at home.
 
Special thanks to Steve Klose of Englewood NJ, who conceived the idea of a memorial plaque to Major Armstrong, and brought the idea to fruition.
