[NJARC] Calibrating a tube tester??

SOP is to calibrate test unit....make measurements...check calibration at 
end-of-test to be sure it didn't change...

Soooooooooo...how does one know the tube tester is "correct?"

 From what little I've learned so far...the tube grid+screens+plate are 
connected during the emission test...the knob setting presents the proper ( 
resistance ) load for the specific tube...read meter...wallah....

Tube data shows the plate resistance...

Can a carbon resisitor of that same value be put into the tube 
socket...expecting the meter to read "good?"
