Hello Steve,
You can run a 01A at a higher filament voltage than it's recommended 5.0vdc, but to do so will shorten it's lifespan. I would experiment with different dropping resistors until you find something that will put you in the neighborhood of 5.0vdc or so.

A RCA 100 or 100A speaker should work well with your Stewart-Warner model 305. I'm not sure on the A-K E3 though. Possibly someone else on the reflector may know. If I can find out more information I'll re-post it.

Cheers & Beers,
                             Joe Cro N3IBX

What steady/constant max filiment voltage can a 201/301 take?..is 6.6 vdc
OK?..or should I put in a voltage dropping resistor?..to get 5 vdc?

Can an RCA 100A and/or Atwater E3 speaker be used with a Stewart Warner 305?

Tnx,
Steve T.
