Flash! Breaking News! The U.S. Department of the Interior has today designated Camp Evans as a new National Landmark.  One of 27 designated this year, Camp Evans joins the 2,527 other designated historic landmarks in the United States that bear this national distinction.  The actual announcement is as follows:

Camp Evans, Wall Township, N.J.  This World War II-era U.S. Army Signal Corps electronics development, testing, and production facility was one of the principal U.S. sites associated with the development of radar.

This event is a great testimonial to the tireless work of Fred Carl and the volunteers who worked with him to create the InfoAge organization that is preserving this historic site for future generations.  More information to follow.
