Members:
The fundamental mission of InfoAge, in addition to maintaining a group
of museums, is to inspire young people to pursue careers in engineering
and science. An opportunity do this has been presented to us on the
30th of May. The Bordentown NJ school district has proposed bringing
their entire 8th grade class of 180 students to InfoAge on Wednesday the
30th. This will be a test for us to do what one of our goals is; yellow
school buses filling our parking lot. But we need your help! This
group will be on site from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM during which time they
will be taken through a dozen or so "learning centers" (exact detail
plans are being worked out now) within all InfoAge museums and
displays. We are asking any member who can be on site no later than
10:00 AM on the 30th and help until 2:00 PM or so. You need not
consider yourself to be a trained docent, part of the task is just
helping guide students around and being available to aid those regulars
who have already signed up. Please consider assisting us with this
task, it will give us vital information on how to handle future student
groups plus I am sure that you will come away with a feeling of
accomplishment.
If you can be with us please let me know by end of day Tuesday so we can
plan accordingly.
I apologize if you get this message twice as I am sending to multiple lists.
Thanks in advance for your help, Ray

P.S. Good news regarding our application for National Landmark status,
details to follow.
