 From 1933:

In response to a reporters question about the future, Marconi said, " We 
might arrive at person-to-person communications, that is to say each 
person will go around with his own little pocket apparatus on which to 
fix appointments, give orders to his broker, and make dates with his 
girlfriend."

Christina was Marconi's second wife.  Married in 1927.  Mussolini was 
best man.
