Here's a bunch
Of rhymes to try,
More to come,
If I decide...
My entries for the contest!

In days of old,
The tubes would glow,
And in your head,
Would be a show!
Radio Technology Museum!
Trans-Oceanic,
Atwater-Kent,
Great old Memories,
Have all been sent
Radio Technology Museum!
At 8 o'clock
"The Shadow" came,
Then "Name That
Tune"
Was the game,
Radio Technology Museum!
Sometimes Bulky,
Made of wood,
Tubes, and wires,
Al-ways Real Good,
Radio Technology Museum!
In Days of Olde,
There was the ether,
I-pods and Walkmen,
There was neither,
Radio Technology Museum!
National and,
Co-lum-bi-a
American,
And Mutual,
Radio Technology Museum!
From Great Big Tubes,
Transistors grow,
And All Electrons,
Go With The Flow,
Radio Technology Museum!

Hello Everyone,
Remember, as announced at the last NJARC
meeting, we have an advertising
contest for the Radio Technology Museum.
Just make up a good rhyme to (roughly)
fit the following pattern:
dah dah dah dah
dah dah dah dah
dah dah dah dah
dah dah dah dah
Radio Technology Museum
some examples:
*SAID FARMER BROWN
WHO'S BALD ON TOP
"WISH I COULD
ROTATE THE CROP"
BURMA-SHAVE
and
**IF YOU DON'T KNOW
WHOSE SIGNS THESE ARE
YOU CAN'T HAVE
DRIVEN VERY FAR
BURMA-SHAVE
and something we can't use
**THE BIG BLUE TUBE'S
JUST LIKE LOUISE
YOU GET A THRILL
FROM EVERY SQUEEZE
BURMA-SHAVE *
(but it's cool anyway).
Anyway, you get the idea.
Create your own RTM rhymes and submit them.
We'll give prizes
for the top two (but we don't know
yet what the prizes will be. Probably won't be
compactrons, though. Won't be a secret decoder
ring either.)
Since Ray Chase complained about the last rhyme
we tried, we'll make him one of the judges.
Decisions of the judges will be final. If you have won
anything in the last 30 days, who cares? You're still
eligible. Same goes if you're a member of the NJARC
staff.
(email) operators are standing by for your call.
Harry K
