Hello everyone,
As announced at the March NJARC meeting, the NJARC
Museum at InfoAge will be opening 3 days per week
beginning on the first weekend in May, and we need
your help. Opening for 3 days a week makes the
museum eligible to be listed in the AAA Guidebooks.
Wednesdays are not a problem, as the usual work crew
is there every Wednesday.
We will need help in staffing the museum on Saturdays
however (and also on Sundays, as in the past). If you have
never done it before - no problem. We will schedule you
with an experienced person for your first few times, but
most of what you need to know is in the DOCENT MANUAL
which is now online (thanks to our webmaster). The link to the
manual can be found at the very bottom of the first page
of the club website, njarc.org, and I do mean the BOTTOM.
Take a look at the manual and please consider volunteering for
this activity. It's really a fun way to spend some time and you get
to talk about your favorite subject - radio.
Thanks.

ps - I'm often asked 'what's a Docent?'
Answer: Docent - Noun: A person who acts as a guide,
typically on a voluntary basis, in a museum,
art gallery, or zoo
