[NJARC] Baofeng UV-3R, Dual Band HT

Joe/WA2DZO and me (KC2QBK) each purchased 
a BAOFENG UV-3R Dual-Band HT with the software 
and earpiece-mic on Ebay for $54 DELIVERED! 

Item comes with two antenna, earpiece-mic and a charger. 
The software was purchased separately. 
i happen to use a Diamond SRH320A antenna on mine but 
the original antenna work quite well. 

We've been playing with these HT for about a month and 
are VERY surprised by their performance and ease of use. 

The programming software is reasonably easy to use. 
There were a few quirks such as the NON ENGLISH screen 
that initially appears. Working through this is easy. 
The earpiece-mic works performs acceptably. 
Also, there is a Baofeng group on Yahoo. 

Overall, a GREAT buy for the money.
