Hi Alex,

I just reviewed the key situation here, and don't have an immediate
solution. Most of the common keys have a bunch of adjustment that are
made by thumb screws, so they're always going to get messed with, and
parts could go AWOL pretty quickly, as you can field strip the thing
with your thumb and forefinger. One possible exception is the Brittish
KEY W.T. 8
<http://www.seaborne-fartygsmagasinet.com/bilder/morse_black1_komprwebb.JPG>,
which has only three adjustment screws with slotted heads, locked in
place by hex nuts. I've had one of these on the spark transmitter in
the museum, and I haven't had to touch it in about five years.

Another, solution might be a classic Morse key, like a J-38
<http://www.mbzponton.org/n2awa/key_J38_by_Lionel.jpg>, with a piece of
Plexiglas screwed down over the key with spacers holding it above the
mounting surface.

I'd expect we could come up with a common key, if they can tolerate
making a cover.

Al
