Last night the show on USA network, White Collar season finale "Under
the Radar" was an interesting story.
It was about a sunken Nazi Sub somewhere off our coast. After some
TV magic the sub ended up in a Brooklyn/Bronx warehouse in remarkable
condition for sitting on the bottom since 1944. (You divers should
appreciate this.)
The sub was rigged with explosives and an Enigma machine was the only
thing that could disarm the explosives. The code word turned out to
be "Midas" from the granddaughter of the radio operator. The hero
typed Midas and the buzzing sound stopped.
Entering the sub they found it loaded with Nazi loot from the war,
all in perfect condition with no water damage. The inside of the sub
was at least 2-1/2 times the size of the outside.
If you have On Demand TV you should be able to see it, on possibly on
Netflicks. USA will have it on line in 30 days.
Oh yes, one of the characters was driving around with an old Heathkit
with a Fractal antenna looking for the sub.
I think White Collar is a low budget show, but entertaining.
