  Hello NJARC,

Bob has alerted us to a Radio Museum in Dover. What do you know
and what are your thoughts?

Thank you,
Fred

Fred:
You may want to forward the story on the New Jersey Radio Museum to the
members of the antique radio club. I was not aware they had competition
in the state nor was I aware they had bigger guns raising money for
them. I think "our" group has to be more aggressive in raising
awareness of what you do. Note where they are getting support.
Bob

NJ Radio Museum News

Jay Sorensen, a.k.a. "Big Jay" on WNBC (660) radio has been named to
serve as South Jersey Vice President for the New Jersey Radio Museum.
NJRM co-founder Carl VanOrden notes that when the effort got rolling a
decade ago, it was mostly driven by folks from North Jersey. You might
hear Jay doing weekend air work at classic hits WCBS-FM (101.1), and if
you're in the Garden State, you might be getting email from him about
the museum. The NJBA congratulates Jay and commends both he and Carl on
their on-going mission to celebrate the great medium (created by NJBA
Affiliate Member Marconi and perfected here in New Jersey by NJBA
Affiliate Member Edison) that brings so much joy and information to New
Jersey every day, free and always available! (Hey, they would be members
and you know it!) The New Jersey Radio Museum is based in Dover, N.J.
and is chartered with the mission to preserve the broadcasting history
of radio in New Jersey. For more information go to www.NJRM.org
