Walt-
It is now known by all, so I don't feel I'm letting any cats out of the bag here... Yes the next swapmeet is Nov. 7, 2009, with a following one in December, 1989. We are now able to do this through the completion of a time-travel device theorized & built by the collaborative efforts of Al Klase, Steve Goulart, and Rich Lee, and kindly donated to the club by them. Now members may freely take excursions into the past to purchase great old radios at those greatold prices we are always hearihng of. No more will any member have to pay top dollar for beat radios and parts, when they themselves may go back to the days of old, and buy them 3 for a dollar from people off the street. Yep- a good cup of coffee, and that unique 5 tube set is yours- in stirling condition.

The only real problem is that you can't bring any more weight with you than you take back. So, if you want to bring home a like new console, you must take another to account for the mass and weight it will occupy. So, if you, theorhetically, take a 2003 Ford with you, you may bring back around a ton of old radios! (just be sure to destroy the car once there, so you don't unleash a whole tribe of temporal disruptions by leaving something from the present in the past, where it may be copied, etc...)

Eithere that, or they haven't had a chance to update the site :) It has been a busy winter.

See Everyone Friday at Infoage!

Scott
(PS- I think someone has GS cookies for me, and another person has the maunal for the oscilloscope I did buy in November, so if they could bring them along, Donna and I are looking forward to the meeting! What is the subject this month, anyway?)
