I did not want to say this but The fact is the conditions of whare they are
now is terrible compared to where they where!

We did not move these boxes from the sarnoff basement ! After the 2 foot
flood in the Sarnoff basement archive this collection was sent out and
freeze dried . The broadcast equpment manuals where then stored in a air
conditioned and heated first floor former Lab office ! Just two weeks ago I
was moving boxes into the attic. Outside the temperature was in the upper
80s. Inside the attic/3 floor was fine the clay tile roof provides plenty of
ventilation and dose a grate job of keeping the rain out. If it was hot and
humid I would not have carried 23 boxes of books up to there new home.

If there where no leaks why would the boxes be covered with tarps?
The building Neal Nells & Steve frequent is 9011C. The books are in 9011D.
To quote from the march 17 infoage blog march . " Major topic - the winter
and this last storm has really hurt the roofs of the H-building sections we
have not re roofed. We counted over 100 puddles in the buildings."

I arrived at infoage 3 days after this storm in march and noted about a
inch of water surrounding the area around the pallets loaded with manuals.
After the early television foundation trip dave sica and I Came in to find
after only a day of rain large puddles in the section you clame has a not to
bad roof ! The past 2 months have been very dry not much rain except for a
thunder storm or two that dose not produce much water inside 2 Days of rain
is what causes the problem. However The problem is not so much the rain. The
building in question 9011D has no ventilation so it holds the humidity and
it takes longer for water to evaporate. Mold has been observed growing on
boxes. Dave Sica and my self have moved boxes that have been moist !

We can change this By moving this Rare collection to its new home in the 3
floor/ attic of the Marconi hotel where It is dry well ventilated and
assessable ! Please come help us with our agenda on 7/3/10 preserve this
historic collection for future generations !

Joe Giliberti . Next time do your home work so you do not make false
statements such as the last. There is nothing worse then a arrogant Pinhead
!
