Some of you helped save and move the RCA Broadcast Equipment manuals from
Sarnoff to Infoage along with many other artifacts. The Broadcast equipment
collection Is basically service manuals for every thing RCA made for the
commercial market ! The dates range from the Marconi days to the 1980s and
cover all Communication receivers, Transmitters, Television cameras,
Microphones, recording equipment, Record cutters/stampers, excreta. This is
a very rare and possibly one of a kind collection. Steve Rosenfeld and my
self are currently working to complete a inventory of what we have in this
collection.
The Broadcast equipment manuals are currently located in the h buildings.
This location is no better then the Sarnoff basement! The roof is bad in
this section and when it rains out side the manuals get a shower inside. I
have walked in 2 or 3 days after a rain fall to find a inch of water on the
floor. With leaky roofs High humidity and little to no air circulation in
time this historic collection will be lost. However Fred Carl Director of
Infoage has designated a place in the Marconi hotel for us to relocate this
collection.
Please come to infoage on saturday 7/3/10 hand help us move this historic
collection to its new place in the Marconi hotel. We will be meeting at
10:00 AM in the Marconi Hotel.
Thank you
