In the Military/Industrial/Commercial/Aerospace world, soldering really is a 
*science*.

However, for hobbyists like me, Heathkit explained it all in less than one 8.5 
by 11 page.

Im a sucker for solder.

Have you ever read the NASA soldering book? It has a lot to say about 
mounting components and bending leads. My copy is packed away right now. It does 

make soldering a science and helps to eliminate the art.
