Dear John.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your friend Samuel Kester. Yes 65/35 was sure pushing the envelope. I would suggest that the heat might have contributed. I also think the radiation treatments would not have been effective on him. How much did he weigh at his passing? I was told he had a 32" waist and weighed over 400 spools, I mean pounds.

John,
I visited the Solder Collector's Association many times in the past years and everything I know and learned about solder was from
that website. Unfortunately 2 months ago the founding father of that very informative website, Samuel Kester died a
slow horrible death of lead poisoning when he was mixing a new formula of 65/35 solder that would have revolutionized
the way we would solder today and in the future.

The greatest gift I received from Samuel Kester was a autographed roll of Kester Solder 3 weeks before
his untimely death.

Unfortunately his estate decided to shutdown the website. I offered to host the website but the estate lawyer refused my generosity.

Regards,
Sal
