[NJARC] How to spot super rare audio tubes

        A very famous, articulate,well rounded and knowledgeable 
"audiophile" friend of mine tells me the same thing over and over again: 
"Just because YOU can't hear it doesn't mean it's not there"

(for those among us who might not know who the above person is, I'll give 
you a hint: he's not a Ham, and lives somewhere in Delaware County,Pa)

Yes, I too wonder what motivates some people to pay exhorbitant "audiophool" 
prices for some tubes. I guess it's what they "(read) think they hear or 
would like to, let alone bragging rights, etc.

What you really want to look out for in the 12AX7 hi-mu dual triode line is 
a "Telefunken". They're supposed to be the premium tubes of their genre. 
I've swapped out the various brands with a dual gettered 1960 production 
Telefunken and quite frankly, couldn't tell much of a difference, though 
there were nuances........ Is it worth it? Let your wallet be your judge.
