In the 1970s and 1980s, Boonton had more than a dozen antique shops. It was a great area for finding old radios. I spent many a weekend afternoon wandering through those shops. Boonton had the Old Time Music Scene, which specialized in wind-up phonographs and 78-rpm records. It still has the old factory converted to an antique car-parts business with a Packard on the roof.
