Hi Gang,
Sherry and I just returned yesterday from a two-week trip, first to
the Antique Wireless Association convention in Rochester, NY, then to
Boston to visit our daughter and grandchildren. By Saturday we had
outstayed our welcome there and it was time to return. :-)
While there I visited radio historian and author Alan Douglas on Cape
Cod and Bob Merriam, founder of the Museum of Wireless and Steam in
Rhode Island. I also attended the Boxboro hamfest on Saturday, which
was well attended.
Bought while there: MacElroy key, a new antenna (Cobra Ultra Lite
Senior 160-10m x 140' long) which they claim works well going through
the trees. We'll see.

And I bought a cute, small, Raytheon radio that turned out to be a
low power marine transmitter-receiver + broadcast band radio. I
looks like it will be converted into a 160 meter low-power rig
someday. 4-xtal positions.
Now to unload the car....
73, John
