It is actually much fatter than a 12BY7. It looks like a compactron having
12 pins.

Hello All,
             Would anyone have a good used #7984 tube? I need one for a
Ameco TX-62 6&2 Meter Transmitter. 
            
            Check your tube stashes, junquepiles, etc etc. 

            Any help obtaining one will be greatly appreciated. The 7984 is
a miniature tube about the size of a 12BY7, or thereabouts.
