[NJARC] Programmable Crystal Oscillators

Guys,

Ground-to-frequency quartz crystals, like the ones you might want for
6-meter AM, etc., have become expensive and hard to procure. The modern
solution is field-programmable oscillator modules that contain a crystal
and a frequency synthesizer. These typically cover 1-100+ MHz in 1KHz
steps and cost way less than 10 bucks in small quantities. The catch is
that they require a $500 programming box.

Do any of you work with these professionally, and have access to a
programmer?

Al
