If your goal is to raise money to help the museum transition I would suggest
immediately contacting a reputable auction house who could remove all the
furniture and hold it for a scheduled auction. I'm sure that the stuff is
high quality albeit a bit old and possibly a little shop worn but it does
have the Sarnoff cachet that could be exploited by a knowledgeable
auctioneer. No offense but most of us radio collectors know little about
quality furniture and rugs and would rather buy a radio than a desk or a
chair. Again, if raising $ is the primary goal then radio club members are
a poor choice to bankroll this. Having David Sarnoff's desk might be a
bragging point but at the end of the day a desk is a desk. And I understand
that the MAN himself spent little if any time at Princeton. If I can be of
any assistance in the short time remaining I will try to help.
