On the HP spectrum analyzer- I spent 20 years repairing them on the bench for HP; if it needs a quick evaluation let me know. Also, there weren't any plugins that covered 100KHz to 1000MHz. Any chance of checking the model numbers? If it's the 8554 RF plug in, I have the input mixer diodes in case they are blown.

There is an interesting article in todays Newark Star Ledger about William Bowen, a former president of Princeton University. My guess is this is the fellow Bowen Hall is named after?

Members:
October brings our big annual Haunted Hotel event at InfoAge. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and our most popular presentation. But it takes volunteers to make it happen. This year it is not actually a haunted hotel as it will take place entirely in the first wing of the "H" building behind the museum. Schedule is: Oct. 10 - 16 - 17 - 23 - 24 & 30. These are Fridays and Saturdays: 7 PM to 11 PM. NJARC will have our famous "Mad Science Lab" in larger quarters with expanded displays. We could use some help this Wednesday doing final set-up but really need volunteers to man the lab itself on the scheduled days. Actually the rest of the participants can also use all kinds of help so come on down even if the Mad Science Lab is already manned. With the acquisition of all our buildings earlier this year we have lots of roofs that need immediate repair so help us make this our most successful event to date. Contact me, Al Klase,
Dave Snellman or anyone at InfoA
ge with what days you can help. I have to tell you that it's a lot of fun.

I've acquired several new "toys" which I will gladly make available for
member use
BUT
their condition is unknown or in need of some TLC.
Tektronix 476M 100MHz oscilloscope - has horizontal sweep problem
HP 1630D Logic Analyzer - has 5 pods and 2 probes - boots but otherwise
condition unknown
HP 141T Spectrum Analyzer with plug ins covering 100KHz - 10GHz
condition unknown - never even plugged in
Anyone with any experience inside any of these will be welcome to pitch
in. I have manuals in PDF format.
