Open House Tuesday May 5th, 6 pm, Old Barney Amateur Radio Club

I'm making a 1-hour presentation on the 1923 Don Mix WNP radio 
expedition to the Arctic some time that evening.  The meeting starts 
at 6, but I think I'll be later on in the evening?  I'm the (TBA).

The meeting will be at the Ocean Acres Community Center on 489 
Nautilus Dr, Manahawkin, NJ?. Just past the Parkway off of 72.

to all hams and anyone interested in ham radio.

This year, Old Barney ARC will radio-active for sure! To kick things 
off, we are planning another OPEN HOUSE MEETING for May 5th. We are 
hoping for a very special well attended evening! All hams (and 
interested non-hams) from the Southern Ocean County areas and beyond 
will be invited to attend. We have invited our new ARRL Section 
Manager George Strayline N3GZ to attend and host an ARRL table, and 
to speak to everyone in attendance. Also. We are working on a very 
special program that will be of interest to all hams as well as hams 
to be (TBA).

There will be pizza and hoagies for everyone! An HF station will be 
setup. More details will be worked out and announced next month. But 
PLEASE, if there is one meeting for you to try to attend this year, 
this would be the one! May 5th at a special early starting time of 
6:00 PM. MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!!! Any updated info to be announced 
as it becomes available. We are looking for a BIG TURNOUT from our 
membership so that we can properly welcome potential new members, and 
the general public. If you have ANY ideas on how to make this a VERY 
SPECIAL EVENT for OBARC, please let us know!
