[NJARC] Club selling High Value items on Ebay

     I think the club member discount is a great idea. It presents a way for 
the club to get a higher price for valuble items.  From the Ebay standpoint. I 
have a feeling they wouldnt really approve of the system, however, if it is 
understood that a club member winning an auction would then do busness 
directally with the club, I dont think there would be a problem. The only downside of 
this, and it is a small one, is that the club will have to pay Ebay the final 
value fee, based on the sale price, not the 20% discounted price.  So 
effectively the profit will be slightly decreased. We most probably would however, be 
in violation of EBAY policies. There is really no doubt, if an item is of that 
high a ticket value, especially items like WE tubes and other high ticket 
audio tubes, the club, should be getting the benifit. The fact remains however, 
if you weigh the effort of listing, shipping, and packaging, you begin to 
wonder what is worth putting on Ebay. I would supect that would be a MUCH shorter 
list , than what is offered at club auctions . Those few items however, could 
really bennifit the club coffers.
