Hi All,

Perhaps ebay flippers are here to stay, but I would say by large most of our members are not. I was under the impression that we are a non profit organization. So I would say trying to sell *Choice" items on ebay rather than offer them to members first is against the spirit of the clubs charter.

 Hi Folks,

 Two observations:

1) Ebay flippers are here to stay -- get used to it. I don't like it either -- I said repeatedly when I was on the Board that the club should set up an ebay account to sell *choice* items. I agree that we can't sell lower-priced items on ebay -- it's not worth the effort, and we would all rather see club members get them. However, highly desirable items like Western Electric tubes and WE amps, etc. *should* be sold on ebay to benefit the club treasury. I brought this up numerous times, and despite the fact that both the current and former Presidents are both ebay "jocks," it never went anywhere. I wonder why??

 2) It wouldn't hurt us to have meetings in two places. Just because we have an alternate meeting site doesn't mean that we are not committing to InfoAge. It means that we're thinking outside the box, and trying to acommodate as many members as possible. I don't think we realized just how *good* we had it at Sarnoff (thanks very much, Alex!).

On the other hand, holding all meetings at InfoAge is fine too -- the historical aspects of the site are wonderful -- as long as modern conveniences such as heat and air conditioning and indoor plumbing are always available.

 Later,

 John R.
