Hello Everyone,
I got a call from Tom Narsavage in Monroe who has a General Motors Model
160A that he's
interested in having repaired/restored. It's about a 1931 highboy TRF
with a 78 rpm record
player and 8-tubes. It has an 80, a pair of 45's, and some 24's and
27's. In looks,
he says it is very similar to the GM Model 130 shown in great detail on
radiolaguy's website
("you could look it up" -- Casey Stengel) with the addition of a
turntable. Rider's volume 1
has the schematic of the model 130, and volume 2 shows the record player
motor and transformers
for the Model 160, but not the schematic.
Says it's dirty but in good mechanical shape and would especially like
to have the
record player working.
Anyone interested in this job? Let me know and I'll put you in contact.
Also, he might
come to our March meeting, so we/you could talk to him directly.
