[NJARC] National Union radios

Hello Al,
I stand corrected on this, but I believe National Union only
made 1 or possibly 2 models of radios just about right after the end of
WWII, around 1946/47. Their radio(s) turn up from time to time, but it seems
that they weren't the success in the radio business as they were
manufacturing and selling their own tubes. My educated guess is they
scuttled their foray into manufacturing radios and re-concetrated their
efforts into making tubes. N.U. was even subcontracted to by outfits like
Western Electric and others to make tubes for them when their production was
at capacity and they needed more product.

Like I mentioned: "I stand corrected" on this, but I believe my info is
pretty accurate.

Regards,
             Joe Cro N3IBX
