Sal:
I have recently acquired an old radio I can find no information on.
Everything I have indicates it was made in NYC in 1936. It is a
Haynes 2 1/2 to 555 meter receiver. Frequency is changed by removing
a one coil and replacing it with another. The apparent successor to
this set was made in 1938 by RACO. Mine looks very, very similar, but
instead of having two knobs on the bottom to tune it, it has one large
one in the center that is a gang switch. Also, my paperwork says it
will
operate on either 110 AC or 110DC.
I would greatly appreciate knowing where I could obtain any other
information on
this set, and
I am wondering if you have ever run across a similar receiver.
Thanks,
Bob
