NJARC has received a donation of three boxes of AFRS (Armed Forces Radio service) 16 inch transcription records. I did not count the records but included is a listing that catalogs 167 programs. Also included is a nice Presto Pirouette T-68 turntable with equalization network. This plays at 45 - 33 - 78 RPM. Programs appear to be from the 40's & 50's including Charlie McCarthy, Jack Benny Duffy's Tavern, Hit Parade, and many bands and singers of that era. These will be stored at InfoAge for Steve Rosenfeld to add to the inventory (looks like he has a lifetime job). The museum library is growing by leaps and bounds between what is held by InfoAge and NJARC. We have hard cover & soft cover books, historic photo images, files of correspondence & data, cylinder records, 78 & 33 RPM records, audio & video cassette tapes of programs, and more.
